What we did

Mount point chosen
The position is picked so both ends see each other unobstructed, and sits close enough to power and the cable entry.
Bracket fixed to structure
The bracket goes into the building structure rather than the roof covering, so the mount does not shift in high wind.
Dish aligned
The antenna is aimed at the far end and locked off once the signal reading holds steady at both ends.
Cable run dressed
The cable follows the structure down and carries a drip loop before it enters the building, so water never runs to the entry point.
Link tested
The link is tested from both ends before handover, including a check as the weather turns.
