Server room rebuild
Horizontal cable terminated to patch panels inside a 42U rack, patching separated by colour, and bundles routed down the vertical managers at the rack sides.

What we did
Terminated to patch panels
Horizontal cable is terminated to patch panels inside the rack, with port numbering on every panel.
Patch cords separated by colour
Patch cord colour is split by function, so a run can be traced by eye before anyone reaches for a label.
Labelled at both ends
Every run carries a label at both ends, so tracing a fault does not mean pulling cable out of the rack.
Vertical cable management
Bundles drop through the vertical managers at the rack sides and are tied at fixed intervals, never crossing the face of the equipment.
Fed from the overhead tray
Cable enters the rack from the tray above rather than from the floor, keeping the base clear and the airflow unobstructed.
